This is a very nice slab of petrified yellow pine from the Eocene age Sepucular Formation. It was found in the Tom Miner Basin, Gallatin County, Montana. This slab measures 23cm x 16cm across the polished face and is 1cm thick. Please click on the photo to see a picture of the cell structure taken at 70x.
