This is a nice end cut of the cycadeoid monanthesia form the Cretaceous age Dakota Sandstone. It was found in San Miguel County, Colorado. It measures 27.5cm x 20.5cm across the polished face and up to 3.5cm thick. This is a very nice specimen. Please click on the photo to see a picture of the cell structure taken at 70x.

This is a contour polished section of cycadeoid from the lower Cretaceous age Cedar Mountain Formation north of Moab, Utah. This specimen has nice cones and petioles. It is contour polished on two sides and flat polished on the bottom. This unique specimen measures 24cm x 11cm on the top contour polished face and is around 5cm thick.
