This is a nice slab of petrified wood from the Oligocene age. It was found near Sweethome, Oregon. This slab measures 34.5cm x 24cm across the polished face and is 1.5cm thick. This specimen does not show a lot of cell structure but there are some vessels. The presence of vessels make it a hardwood of some kind.
